written when I first got to Xixuangbanna
Pretty excited about being in Xixuangbanna. Though it's part of china the climate and feel of the city are more like SE Asia. I wasn't so these to go to Vietnam again bit going there with Adam and Kaja sounded fun. Now being here, I'm reminded of what Vietnam will be like and I'm so excited. Jinghong, the capital of Xixuangbanna, is heavily populated with Dai people. As far as I'm aware Dai people and Thai people have similar origins. Jinghong's architecture is what I imagine Thailand to be somewhat like and the temples here are very Thai like. For the first time in my life i can say that I'm excited to eventually go to Thailand.
