Here now and now here or nowhere

The title of this blog comes from a play on words that "now here" is also the same letters as "nowhere" just with a space added in the middle. I am always trying to get better at being in the here and now, and I've always been a bit of a joker so that is why I chose this name.

Driving down the HCMT

After leaving China Beach we would set course for a very fun and beautiful few days drive down the Ho Chi Minh Trail. On our second day after leaving Kham Duc, we headed up and over one of many mountains we'd pass. Only today we hit a rain storm in a rain forest. I usually hate driving in the rain as you get soaked, your clothes get soaked, you feel miserable, and it just sucks all around. However because it was so beautiful around us and because we changed our wet gear (now we wear a rain jacket/pants combo and flip flops. everything dries quicker this way) I loved the ride. Sadly, no pictures of it as it was downpouring and cameras don't do well in the rain.

Here is the course that we ended up on.

Kham Duc > Kon Tum > La Drang > BMT (Buon Ma Thuot > Dalat > Nha Trang

I'm writing from Nha Trang right now and will be putting some other posts up from spots along the way. For now, enjoy these shots from the road.

This sign not only is beyond more confusing than it needs to be, but it also is inaccurate.

notice how i'm staring at the basket with a leg hanging out. The driver is transporting a live baby cow.

in Buon Ho, a small town with not much, but perhaps the best coffee we have had yet on this trip. Hoorah!
